His coaching often explores how to step up without becoming someone else: building confidence, leading at greater scale, navigating pressure and internal politics, and developing the judgement, commercial confidence and people leadership needed for the next level. At the heart of it is helping people succeed without losing what makes them distinctive.
His style is warm, straightforward, curious and pragmatic. Simon builds trusted relationships quickly, listens deeply and creates space for open discussion, combining compassion with thoughtful challenge. He is interested in both the immediate issue and what sits beneath it, while staying grounded in the realities clients face. The aim is to turn insight into practical action and sustained changes in behaviour and performance.
Before becoming a coach, Simon spent 22 years in consulting and leadership roles at IBM, EY and PA Consulting, progressing from analyst to Partner and ultimately Global Head of Health & Life Sciences at PA. Coaching and developing people was central throughout his career, alongside senior people, commercial and business leadership roles.
Simon has coached professionals through promotion, career transitions and leadership challenges. Simon also brings direct experience of building teams, growing businesses and leading in intense, high pressure environments, including helping lead the UK Ventilator Challenge and national COVID vaccine logistics programmes. That experience helps him understand the realities senior leaders face and ask practical, relevant questions without assuming there is a single right answer.
