
Ruth coaches senior leaders and teams to adapt to change and lead collectively. She is engaged by organisations to enable people to lead change, transition into new roles and assist teams to develop the collective intelligence required to address material organisational issues.
Ruth’s experience encompasses the private and public sector, partnerships and global multinationals, finance and professional services. Her work is with leaders at Senior Executive and Board level, and she specialises in how they lead and engage their teams. Ruth conducted pioneering PhD research into group coaching for leaders making the transition into senior positions. She examined the challenges leaders face when they move into senior leadership and formulated the first theory about how group coaching works for leaders in the workplace.
Ruth is highly experienced and knowledgeable. She has been coaching for nearly 20 years, holds a PhD, an MSc in Coaching and Development and is an EMCC accredited coach to Master Practitioner level. Her clients describe her as being pragmatic, direct, skilled, flexible and empathetic. She has high credibility, and creates supportive, challenging relationships.
Prior to coaching, Ruth was a management consultant with PwC and occupied roles within Sales, Marketing, PR and Distribution in the energy sector (Mobil Oil & Esso Petroleum). Alongside coaching, she is Vice-Chair of Bourne Education, a large Multi-academy Trust in the South East.
