Approach

Clare is passionate about helping leaders in challenging roles to thrive and find their own way of achieving their potential. She has a keen interest in professional services firms and how people navigate their careers in these environments.

Her clients are typically those in senior roles, often in Partnerships, where the roles can be ambiguous, come with many challenges and opportunities and require careful thought and navigation. Topics often brought to coaching are role transitions, leadership identity, seeking authenticity and satisfaction at work, managing intricate stakeholder relationships or considering next steps. Discussions frequently touch on topics like personal values, beliefs, and purpose.

Clients describe Clare’s approach as direct and pragmatic with a conversational style that fosters deep, warm relationships. People who work with Clare walk away with broader perspectives, renewed optimism, and greater clarity. She focuses on identifying clients’ core questions or issues, believing that this opens up new possibilities. Clare ensures her clients have the space to thoroughly explore their goals and challenges during coaching sessions.

Background

Clare has spent her career working within or alongside professional services organisations. A coach with over 25 years of experience, Clare’s last in-house role was Head of Coaching at one of the 'Big Four' accountancy firms where she led a market leading internal coaching team before becoming an independent coach and partnering with a diverse range of firms and leaders. She began her career at Arthur Andersen before moving to KPMG, where she qualified as a Chartered Tax Advisor and worked across public and private sectors. Realising her interest lay in people development, Clare transitioned into talent development and specialised in executive coaching.
