Dr. Ajit Menon

Dr. Ajit Menon works with senior executives, board members and leadership teams on the human challenges that sit behind performance, decision-making and leadership at the top of organisations.
With over 20 years’ experience across professional services, financial services and private equity, Ajit supports leaders navigating complexity, pressure, and transition. His work focuses on helping executives think more clearly, exercise authority with confidence and lead effectively when the stakes are high, including in board and executive decision making, whether during strategic change, organisational growth, or moments of uncertainty. Executives value Ajit for his calm authority, depth of insight and ability to create a space where difficult issues can be addressed honestly, decisions sharpened and leadership presence strengthened.
Earlier in his career, Ajit worked in Big 4 consulting and advised senior leaders across financial services. More recently, he was a part of the executive team at Investec plc, supporting transformation, leadership, and cultural change at enterprise level. He is co-founder of Blacklight Advisory and Inside Edge Advisory, working with organisations where leadership quality and judgement have direct commercial consequences.
Alongside his consulting and coaching work, Ajit is on the Board of the University of Essex as Pro-Chancellor and is Chair of RemCo. He also teaches experienced practitioners at the Tavistock Centre, and has been visiting faculty at the London School of Economics and University College London. He is co-author of What Lies Beneath: How Organisations Really Work.
